Reducing balance (IRR) vs Flat rate
Same loan amount, rate and tenure under both methods. With IRR, interest is charged on the balance still owed each month. With a flat rate, interest is charged on the full original amount for the whole tenure, so the real cost is higher. Car loans are usually quoted on reducing balance. Please confirm the method with your lender.
